SCORES FROM WEDNESDAY, JULY 12

Carroll Merchants 10 St. Joseph Mustangs 9                 -11 innings
St. Joe scored the first run of the night in the top of the 3rd inning, but Carroll had an immediate answer, scoring twice in the bottom half. Carroll added one in the 4th and held the 3-1 lead until the 7th when St. Joe blew up. The Mustangs plated five in the frame to steal a 6-3 advantage. The Mustangs added another run in the 8th to build a four run lead. Carroll however had another answer, scoring four to tie the game in the bottom of the 9th. The Mustangs appeared to have the game in the bag with a pair in the top half of the 11th but again Carroll had an answer, this time scoring three to win it 10-9.

Nevada Griffons 9 Sedalia Bombers 8
Sedalia struck hard in the 1st with three runs in the frame but in the top of the 2nd Nevada answered with a four run frame to claim the lead. Sedalia jumped back in front in the mid innings, scoring four in the 5th and one more in the 6th to go up 8-4. That lead held until the 8th when Nevada exploded for a five run frame to steal the lead and the win.

Clarinda A’s 5 Joplin Outlaws 3
The game was scoreless until the 6th when each team scored once. Joplin gained an edge in the 7th with a two run frame, but Clarinda had other ideas. The A’s scored twice in the 8th to tie the game and then plated two more in the 9th to claim the win.
