Clarinda scored the night’s only run in the 5th inning on a Cole Warehime RBI double. Both teams got complete games from their starting pitcher with Jay Kennedy striking out seven over eight shutout innings for Clarinda, and St. Joe’s Ryker Curry also striking out seven over eight innings of work.

Joplin Outlaws 2 Sedalia Bombers 1         -7 innings
Sedalia got the first run of the night in the top of the 5th and held that 1-0 lead until the bottom of the 7th when Joplin pushed across two runs to walk-off with the win.

After a pitching duel in game one, both offenses broke out in a big way in game two. Both scored once in the 1st before Sedalia added two in the top of the 2nd. Joplin however answered with three in the bottom of the 2nd to take a 4-3 lead. Sedalia then took control with a two run 3rd ahead of a seven run 4th that put them up 12-4. Sedalia extended that lead with two more runs in the 6th. Joplin avoided a stoppage with a three run 6th then added three more in the 7th to provide the final margin.

Carroll Merchants 9 Nevada Griffons 1
Carroll took an early lead with a run in the 1st, which held until Nevada answered in the bottom of the 5th. The Merchants took control late scoring three in the 8th and then adding five insurance runs in the top of the 9th.
