MSHSAA Releases Results Of Ballot Measures

The Missouri State High School Activities released the results of the ballot measures for amendments to the MSHSAA Constitution and By-Laws in their Annual MSHSAA Election.

All of the proposals approved will become effective on July 1st. All the proposals on the ballot which were on the ballot were approved.

Some of those measures include:

  • Proposal 2-Updates the deadline for HIGH SCHOOL cooperative sponsorship applications to make them seasonal during the applicable school year.
  • Proposal 8-Moves Boys Volleyball from Provisional Interscholastic Status to a Fully Interscholastic Sport.
  • Proposal 14-Decreases the minimum number of contests in some sports that teams must complete during the regular season in order to be eligible for districts.
  • Proposal 15-Moves Girls Stunt from outside of MSHSAA jurisdiction into “Emerging Sport” status with a possibility to become a fully interscholastic sport if/when it meets registration requirements to move it in to that category.
