NCMC Women Advance To Second Round At NJCAA Division II Women’s National Tourney

The North Central Missouri College women never trailed at the NJCAA Division II Women’s National Tournament First Round game in Port Huron, Michigan and beat 9th seeded Niagara County 75-50. The Lady Pirates continued to pull away throughout the game, particularly in the final 3 quarters. North Central’s Nora Ford scored 26 points in the game for the Pirates. Two other players actually had double-doubles. Maci Moore scored 13 points and added 13 rebounds. Kennadie Crowe scored 13 points and had 11 rebounds.

The North Central Missouri women are now 25-5 on the season and will play the tournament’s overall top seed, Kirkwood, in the second round. Kirkwood defeated Dakota 77-47 in the first round. That game will be Thursday at 6pm.
