Betty Price – age 95 of Kansas City, MO passed away Wednesday morning, December 27, 2023, at her home in Kansas City, MO. Betty was born on February 3, 1928, the daughter of Adam and Mable Butcher in Daviess County, MO. She grew up in Altamont and graduated from Gallatin High School in 1946. Betty married Elvert Elfton Price, August 9, 1947, in Gallatin, MO. She was a member of the Mabel Worship Center near Cameron. Betty loved to bake and sew, along with raising flowers and vegetables. She was a prayer warrior; everyone knew if they had a prayer request they could count on Betty. She was a people person and never met a stranger. She loved her family and was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Betty will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elvert; sons, Kenneth Price and Bill Price; and siblings, Eugene Butcher, Franklin Butcher, and Anna Mae Coldwell. She is survived by her children, Rodney Price of Liberty, MO and Pam Elliott (Rick) of Kansas City, MO; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Collins of Cameron, MO; several nieces, nephews and other extended family members also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to The American Heart Association in care of the funeral home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
