Beverly Ann Homan
Beverly Ann Homan, 91, of St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, in Atchison, Kansas. She was born Sept. 3, 1932, in St. Joseph, daughter of Irene and Gaines Pearson.
She graduated from Pickett School in 1950. She married Raymond “Jack” Homan on May 13, 1950, in their family home in St. Joseph. She devoted many years to raising her children and she was most proud to be Jack’s wife. Some of her hobbies included gardening, knitting and baking and she loved her cats. She also was a proud grandmother and mother, and loved taking care of her family. Beverly was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She is preceded in death by husband, Jack Homan in 2018, her parents; sons, Timothy, Joseph, and Mark Homan; brother, Melvin Pearson; sister, Linda Schilling; and a great-granddaughter, Amber Rose Shipley.
Survivors include daughter, Deborah (Jim) Thompson, of St. Joseph; son, Chad (Jennifer) Homan, of Clinton Township, Michigan; ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023, at the Rupp Funeral Home.
A private family Graveside Service and Interment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.
