DeEtta Madelene (Lang) Moore

DeEtta Madelene (Lang) Moore, daughter of Richard Henry Lang and Sylvia Marie (Snyder) Lang, was born In Mercer, Missouri on July 24, 1925 and passed away on February 27, 2021 at the age of 95.

DeEtta was united in marriage to Stacy Clifford Moore on September 5th, 1947 in Platte City, Missouri.  They made their home west of Lineville, IA where she farmed alongside Stacy, milking cows and attending to the other farm animals and a large garden. Taking care of her family was DeEtta’s main purpose in life. DeEtta also worked at Neeleys manufacturing in Corydon and later at the restaurant in South Lineville, MO where she cooked many meals for the Sunday dinner.  She was an avid cook with her specialty of fried chicken, pies and homemade donuts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stacy; foster son, Vance Solverson; dad, Richard Lang and mom, Sylvia Lang.

DeEtta is survived by her two daughters, Judy (Kenny) Adair, Deanna (David) Brennecke both of Lineville; a foster daughter-in-law, Kathy Solverson, Eldon, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Mark (Danya) Adair, Stacie (Scott) Jones, Nathan Brennecke, Michael (Anna) Brennecke, Ryan (Alex) Brennecke, Holly (Alan) Adams, Samantha (Brian) Phillips; fifteen great grandchildren, Logan (fiancé, Courtney) Adair, Cheyenne (AJ) Jones, Chelsie and Cameron Jones, Ethan Adair, Makayla and Dylan Brennecke, Zachary, McKenzie and Otto Brennecke, Colby Brennecke, Corbin, Ben and  Chloe Adams and Jacob Reynolds; one great- great grandchild, Keegan Jones; sister, Molly Lou Woodley of Mercer and several nieces and nephews.

DeEtta was a member of the Lineville Baptist Church where she accepted Jesus as her savior many years ago.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at the Lineville Baptist Church, Lineville, IA under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Lineville, IA.  Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Lineville, IA.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church.  Online condolences may be left at www.robersonfuneralhome.com.
