Gary W. Ross, 76, of Maitland, Missouri, passed away at home on Thursday, April 18, 2024, surrounded by family members.

Gary was born on August 17, 1947, in Clarinda, Iowa, to William and Florence (Reynolds) Ross.  He has lived in Maitland since 1979.

He was a high school graduate and had taken some college classes.

Gary was a US Army veteran and had served in Vietnam.  He retired from the Army in 1988.

He had worked for the former Uniroyal in Maryville, then spent 38 years at NEBS, then Deluxe as a mechanic and in maintenance.

He was a member of the James Edward Gray American Legion Post 100, in Maryville.  He enjoyed collecting coins, he also enjoyed his casino visits, Sunday evening dancing at the Eagles in Maryville, and taking photos of old barns.

His parents preceded him in death, as well as his wife, Myra Lynne Ross, in 2009, and his brother, Lanny Ross.

His survivors include his children Cliff Ross (Donna Fryar) Maryville, and Tiffiny (Keith) Schluter, Hopkins, Missouri, his grandchildren, Jordan Samantha Ross, Kylie Schluter, and Cambry (Danny) Lewis, great granddaughter, Harlyn Lewis, several nieces and nephews, and his special friend, Catherine Riddle.

Gary has been cremated under the care of the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri.

Memorial graveside services will be at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the Memory Cemetery, New Market, Iowa.

The family will receive friends from 5-8:00 PM, on Friday, May 3, 2024, at the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family to help with final expenses.
