Helen Marie Stevens

Helen Marie Stevens, 88, Blythedale, MO passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023 at a Leon, IA hospital.

She was born on September 24, 1935, in Harrison County, Missouri the daughter of Willard Sherman and Goldie (Hammond) King.

On May 24, 1953, she married Virgil Stevens in Mt. Moriah, MO. He preceded her in death on March 3, 2021.

Helen graduated from Mt. Moriah High School in 1953 and was a member of the Christian Church in Blythedale, MO. She loved her flowers, hummingbirds, and deer and enjoyed going to Texas during the winter months.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lois Oxford.

Helen is survived by her daughters, Terri (Lester) Johns, Bethany, MO, Rosetta (Doug) Waychus, Blythedale, MO; son, Doug Stevens, St. Joseph, MO; grandchildren, Lance (Jan) Johns, David (Dianne) Johns, Tim (Polly) Johns, Christina (Morris) Pittsenbarger, Danielle (Chris) Patterson, Markus Hamlett, Sherman Lee Stevens, Nick Stevens, and Megan (Thad) Landers; many great and great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 26 at Roberson Funeral Home, Eagleville, MO. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Blythedale, MO.
