Cameron, Missouri- James Richard Callaway, 73, passed away September 14, 2023. He was born May 31, 1950 in Cameron, Missouri to Richard and Ada Lee (Arnold) Callaway.

Jim graduated from Cameron High School in 1968, and attended the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg.

He was a dedicated Ford salesman for 45 years, retiring in 2021. After retirement Jim enjoyed spending quality time with his significant other, Sandy as they cheered on the Chiefs, Royals, and Mizzou, along with trying out new restaurants. He was a very proud and devoted grandpa, attending all extra curricular events near and far.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Rich and Ada Lee.

Survivors: significant other, Sandy Eldridge, of the home; 2 daughters, Elizabeth (Danny) O’Farrell, Lees Summit, Missouri and Whitney (Brad) Edwards, Cameron, Missouri; Sandy’s children, Heather (Basil) Percell and Christopher (Malleri) Vogel; sister, Linda (Bill) Galloway, Kidder, Missouri; 6 grandchildren, Lily, Dexter, Collin, Deacon, Emmett, and Olivia; nieces, Amy (Terry) Montgomery and Stephanie (Scott) Galas; great-nieces and great- nephews, Maycie, Brett, Addison, Gavin, and Will.

Visitation: 6-8 PM, Monday evening, September 18th, 2023 at Poland-Thompson Chapel.  Memorial Service: 10 AM, Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
