Saturday, April 29, 2023, at his home.
He was born on July 13, 1948, in St. Joseph, Missouri the son of Gene and Margaret (Vogt)
Hiett.
James served in the United States Navy and worked as an electronics technician.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
James is survived by his significant other, Carolyn Montgomery, of the home; daughter, Julie
(Andrew Babcock) Hiett, Visalia, CA; son, Jeremy (Christine) Reynolds, Ellensberg, WA; sister,
Carole (Herb) Dannar, Holden, MO; grandchildren, Terran and Corbin Babcock, Loretta Hiett,
and Kaitlyn Reynolds and nephews, Donnie and Dean Dannar.
Graveside Services and Burial with Military Rites will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May
17 in High Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home,
Stanberry, MO. There is no scheduled family visitation. Memorials may be made to Guide Dogs
