Kyle Kenneth Smith, 58, of Brookfield, Missouri, was born September 18, 1964, at the Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr, Iowa, to Kenneth Lyle Smith and Betty Brown Smith. Kyle went to be with his Lord
and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 11, 2023. Kyle passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his mother and wife.

A memorial service will be Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Brookfield with Pastor John Wiggins officiating. Burial will be in Kirk Cemetery in Allendale, Missouri. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Services are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home, Brookfield.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Linn County SEV Foundation (Cancer Foundation), and to the Kirk Cemetery in care of the Wright Funeral Home, PO Box 496, Brookfield, Missouri 64628.

Kyle married the love of his life, Carey Gail Stephens, September 29, 2001, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Together, Kyle and Carey had one daughter, Kaley Gail Smith. Kaley is a senior attending Northwest Missouri State University.

Kyle grew up in Worth County and graduated from Worth County High School in 1983.  Kyle lived in Maryville and worked at Federal Mogul and at Scholastic when he lived in Jefferson City.  He worked at Dickerson Tool and Engineering in Chillicothe, Missouri, until his health declined due to his pancreatic cancer.

Kyle accepted the Lord on February 25, 1990, at the Allendale Baptist Church. At the time of his death,

Kyle was a deacon and member of the First Christian Church, in Brookfield, Missouri.

Kyle was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Kay Miller, and his dad, Kenneth Lyle Smith.  Survivors include his wife, Carey, and his daughter, Kaley, his mother Betty Smith, of Allendale, Missouri; his sister, Sherry (Chris) Hill of Ashland, Missouri, and his brother-in-law, Burton Miller, of Allendale, Missouri. Other survivors include his nieces Renae (Jesse) Jones, April (Chris) Healy, Kristen Hill, and nephew, Jeremy Hill. Great nephews include Brock Healy, Jaxton Jones, Jerex Jones, and great niece Gwyn Healy.

Kyle’s passions were motorcycles, music, nature, and sports of all kinds.
