Lois Gaddy-Cannon
Lois Gaddy-Cannon – age 75 of Jamesport, MO passed away Wednesday morning, December 27, 2023, in Gallatin, MO. Lois was born on May 27, 1948, the daughter of Alvin and Marion (Chaney) Gaddy in Jacksonville, AL. She grew up and attended school in Jacksonville and later Kirkwood College in Cedar Rapids, IA. Lois married Ricky Cannon on February 17th, 2018 in Jamesport, MO.
Lois loved Jesus and she had a servant’s heart. Her husband Ricky was her best friend, and her kids were her whole world – they never had to question her love for them. She worked as a waitress at the Branding Iron, Maid Rite and Judge Roy Beans in Trenton. She was also a housekeeper at Wright Memorial Hospital. Lois never met a stranger, and she was kind to everyone she met. One time a lady told her that she liked her jacket, so Lois took the jacket off and gave it to her. That is the kind of woman Lois was, she was always willing to help anyone in need. She loved thrift store shopping, playing lottery tickets and trips to the casino. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her daughters, Sheila Smith and Roseanne Smith; grandson, TJ Tittsworth; great-granddaughter, Darcy; and siblings, Sonny Gaddy, Shirley Heath, Patricia Gaddy, Randall Gaddy and Dennis Gaddy.
