Robert Albertis Woolsey

Robert Albertis Woolsey, 94, of Lawson, MO, passed away Sunday, Jan 22, 2023, in Excelsior Springs, MO.

He was born Oct 25, 1928 in Kansas the son of Olin and Myrtle (Casebolt) Woolsey.

Robert, also known as Buck or Squeaky, was a lifelong truck driver, retiring in 1999 with his 3-million-mile award from Consolidated Freight Trucking.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Woolsey; his parents; sisters, Bertha (Wesley) Williams and Mildred (Carl) Clutter; brothers William “Worth” (Doreen) Woolsey, Ernie (Peggy) Woolsey and Cecil (Linda) Woolsey and niece Dorothy “Dodie” Clutter.

Survivors include a son, Robert L Woolsey, Jameson, MO, daughter, Peggy Steenrod (Darrell), St. Clair, MO and sister-in-law, Peggy Woolsey, Rosenberg, TX. Robert was blessed with 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and lots of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, at the Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery NW of Bethany, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alpha Lodge #659 A.F. & A.M. in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O.
