Robert Gene “Bob” Henry

Mercer, MO – Robert Gene “Bob” Henry, 68, Mercer, MO passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his family. He was born on December 25, 1955, in Mercer, Missouri the son of Hubert Archie and Mildred Kathleen (Stanford) Henry. Bob graduated from Mercer High School in 1974. He was a devoted brother, caring uncle, hard worker and loved fishing. You could find him in the hay field every summer with his brothers and nephews, something he loved. He had a very special bond with his nieces and nephews.  He and his nephews especially enjoyed giving each other a hard time and in his final days he enjoyed time with his great niece as they shared snacks and laughs.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ronnie Stanford, Donnie Craig, and Jack Henry, and a niece, Amber Henry.
Bob is survived by his brothers, Danny Henry (companion, Kris Henkels), Mercer, MO and Rodney (Lori) Henry, Rowland, IA; sisters, Ruth (Danny) Berndt, Mercer, MO and Martha (Burt) Clark, Mercer, MO and many nieces and nephews. A Graveside Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 20 in Evergreen Cemetery, Lineville, IA. Following the service the family will be having a lunch at the First Baptist Church of Lineville, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a monument in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 316, Princeton, MO 64673.
