Tom Walker

Stanberry, MO: Tom Walker, 81, Stanberry, MO, passed away Monday, April 22, 2024 at a Stanberry nursing home. He was born August 1, 1942 in Stanberry, MO the son of Clifton and Mary (Malson) Walker. Tom was a graduate of Stanberry RII High School in 1960. On May 28, 1960, he married Edith Colene Duley in Stanbery, MO. She preceded him in death on June 13, 2020. Tom owned and operated Walker Land Improvements and also worked for the City of Stanberry. He retired in 2017.
He was a member of the St. Peters Catholic Church, Stanberry, MO and the Knights of Columbus. In addition to his wife, Colene, he was also preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sharron Annette and brother, Galen Walker. Survivors include his son, Doug (Kim) Walker, Stanberry, MO; daughter, Janette Walker (Bobby Murphy), Stanberry, MO; sibling, Loyd (Ann) Walker; 7 grandchildren, Melisse (Kegan)Wilson, Corey (Cassie) Weatherd, Alyssa (Corey) Mattson, Carissa (Austin) Henggeler, Bailey
Walker (Caleb Weddle), Jolisa (Patrick) Gomez and Jonathan Walker (Sarah Hale); 20 great-grandchildren, Carleigh Wilson, Chelsea and Clayton Weatherd, Emma, Carter, Walker and Julianne Mattson, Axton, Meleigha and Kimberlynn Henggeler, Macie Baumli, Keine and Wynston Vinzant, Daxston Abreu, Sean, Benton, Elliot, Emmit, Lincoln and Laynie Gomez and another one due August 2024 and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 25, at Roberson Funeral Home, Stanberry, MO. Burial will follow in the High Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
