Meet Peanut! Our Pet of the Week!

Our Pet of the Week is brought to us by the Green Hills Animal Shelter and is sponsored by the Lamoni Veterinary Clinic.

Please meet Peanut! Peanut is a medium sized black and white boxer mix who is only about a year old and who is looking for a family to adopt as her own!

Peanut came to Green Hills Animal Shelter after being found wandering alone on the streets, and she quickly and happily settled in, clearly happy to have food, water, a safe place to sleep, and people to love her. Peanut is a friendly girl who is playful and affectionate.  She is full of energy and always ready for a romp in the shelter play yard or to explore the shelter grounds on a leashed walk.  Peanut enjoys being with people and loves attention. But, while her spunky spirit is quite endearing, it can sometimes seem a little feisty to other dogs, so Peanut would most likely do best in a single dog household.

If Peanut could describe her perfect Forever Home she would ask for an active home where she could spend lots of time with her family. She would enjoy having a securely fenced yard where she could safely romp and play, and then be able come inside and spend those cool fall evenings curled up on the couch or on a bed of her own near her family. She would very much enjoy a family who would spend time playing with her, and with her natural intelligence and desire to please she would enjoy learning commands and perhaps some tricks (Frisbee anyone?).

Peanut will go to her Forever Home spayed, de-wormed, heartworm tested and up to date on all vaccinations including rabies.  She is a happy girl who is full of love to share; could she share that love with you?
