Pet of the Week – Angel

Angel is a young female boxer mix who is approximately 2 years old. Angel came to Green Hills Animal Shelter as one of a number of dogs we rescued from a hoarding situation.  Angel was starving, and she was the most emaciated of all the dogs we rescued. Our hearts broke for her, and we feared for her survival as both her body and her spirit were broken.

Two months after her rescue, with a lot of love and care, Angel is now thriving. Not only is her body healing, but so is her spirit.  This beautiful girl has gone from emaciated and broken to beautiful and playful. She is super affectionate and has very good manners. She is still working to gain a little weight, but her spirit is full of joy and she is truly a joy to be around.

Angel is currently enrolled in the Puppies For Parole program where she is mastering basic obedience while she waits for her own Forever Family to share her love and continue her journey to happily fur-ever after.

If you would like to meet Angel, please contact Green Hills Animals Shelter at 660-359-2700 and we will be happy to provide you with information and set up a time for you to meet her.
