Pet of the Week – Chief

Would you be Chief’s Valentine?  Chief is a sweet little Terrier mix who is approximately 5 years old.  He is a quite small, weighing in at only about 8 pounds, and shelter staff affectionately refer to him as Bambi because his sweet face and long legs give him the appearance of a tiny fawn.

Chief was brought in to GHAS a few weeks ago by a kind person who found him injured after being hit by a car.  Fortunately, Chief’s injuries weren’t serious and he quickly recovered and began looking for his Forever Home.

Chief is a ladies man, and by that we mean he loves women. He is very affectionate and quite the charmer who loves to sit in your lap and give you sweet puppy kisses. Chief has the most expressive eyes and when he decides you are his person, you can clearly see the adoration in them.  While Chief loves women, he is not always comfortable with men. We are not sure why some men make him nervous, but Chief is definitely a ladies man.

Chief arrived at GHAS already neutered, and shelter staff believe he is house-trained.  He has been heartworm tested, and is up to date on all shots, including rabies.  His ideal home would be with a kind lady who would let him sit on her lap and be the center of his universe.  If you would like a small dog who will tell you every day how much he adores you, Chief is the pup for you!
