Pet Of The Week – Ginny

Please meet Ginny!  Ginny is an adult Labrador Retriever mix who, with her happy dog smile and her shiny black coat accented with a white chest and feet,  would love nothing more than to be back in a home of her very own.

Ginny came to Green Hills Animal Shelter in June of this year after her owner passed away, and although she has only been with us for a  couple of months, she has already charmed us with her loyal, happy personality.  Ginny, like all labs, is friendly, active and outgoing.  She loves going on walks, and nothing sets her tail wagging like seeing a shelter staff member or volunteer with a leash.  Ginny does well with our young volunteers at the shelter, but because of her size (Ginny is a big girl!) and boundless energy, we would recommend a home with older children so that little ones aren’t bowled over by her love.

If Ginny could ask for a home of her own, she would undoubtedly say that she would love a home where she could shower her family with love and loyalty.  She would very much enjoy getting to go on regular walks and in return she promises to teach you to stop and smell the flowers and see the wonder in the world. Since Ginny was an only dog in her previous home, she would prefer to meet any other dogs in her potential family prior to her adoption.

Ginny will go to her Forever Home spayed, de-wormed, heartworm tested, and up to date on all her vaccinations, including rabies.  She is absolutely full of love to share; could she share that love with you?
