Pet Of The Week – Rex
If you are looking for a puppy full of sweetness and want nothing more than to be your best friend for life, then you need to meet Rex! Rex is an approximately 5-month-old Lab mix who is part of our “Toy Story” litter, and who is just as sweet as he is cute. With his beautiful black fur, four white feet, and a white patch on his chest, Rex is dressed to impress, and with his loving personality, he is sure to capture your heart.
Rex was found abandoned along a rural road, along with his siblings; Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Bonnie, and Andy. Fortunately, the kind person who spotted them took the time to gather up Rex and his siblings (talk about a car-load of wiggle butts!) and take them to Green Hills Animal Shelter where they would be safe and cared for while they looked for Forever Families of their very own.
Rex is a super-sweet boy who is a little shy at first but loves people. He is friendly and gentle and would be a great fit in a home with children. As a matter of fact, we think Rex would be the perfect pup to grow up with a child and be their very best, loyal friend. Rex enjoys playing outside and this smart boy has recently started working on leash training with shelter staff. He gets along well with other dogs and although he hasn’t had an experience yet with cats, with his gentle and sweet personality that just wants to love and please everyone, we believe he would do well with them also.
If Rex could describe his perfect Forever Home, he would ask to be adopted by a family who would spend lots of time with him. He would love a family who would shower him with love while he adjusts to his new home and assure him that he will never be left behind again. Rex would love to be an indoor dog with access to a securely fenced yard where he could run and play and then come back inside to be with his family. He loves other dogs and would enjoy having a canine friend in his Forever Home; perhaps even one of his siblings! Most of all, Rex wants to be someone’s best buddy and know that he will be loved forever.
Rex will go to his Forever Home neutered, dewormed, and up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations. And as part of our Summer Adoption Special, Rex’s adoption fees (along with the other pets at the shelter) will be half-price through August 31st.
