Accused Murderer Appears in Court Before Christmas

An accused murderer from Braymer appeared in court before Christmas last week.

Appearing in a Johnson County court was Garland Joseph Nelson, the man accused of the murder of the Diemel brothers.

Missouri’s CaseNet says that evidence was heard and exhibits were received. After oral arguments from both sides, the defendent’s motion for confidential contact visits was denied. The state requested increased security levels for all filings which was granted with the agreement of the defense counsel.

The case will be continued on January 21, 2021 at 9:30 am for a 1-hour motion hearing and trial setting.
