Albany Council Approves New Water Rates

Albany’s Board of Aldermen approved the revised water rates for City of Albany customers during a meeting held Tuesday.

The new rates will be $15.33 for the first 1,000 gallons used and then $5.82 for every 1,000 gallons used after the first 1,000. The water rates will become effective on August 20th.

The council also agreed to write-off delinquent utilities and revised the fiscal year budget for the general fund and parks fund for the City of Albany.
