Area Law Enforcement Agencies Work Together in Helicopter Operation That Led to Multiple Arrests

(ST. JOSEPH, MO) – Area law enforcement agencies worked together through the overnight Wednesday into Thursday in a helicopter operation that led to multiple arrests.

The Buchanan County Drug Strike Force, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the St Joseph Police Department worked together to stop 92 cars.

There were two vehicles that fled, one was followed by the Highway Patrol Helicopter.

The agencies worked together to write 64 traffic citations and gave 45 verbal warnings.

Seven arrests were made, all of which were individuals with outstanding warrants, five misdemeanor warrants and two felony warrants were served, while other charges were included as well.

The Andrew County Sheriff’s Office and the Elwood Police Department were support agencies, and there were almost 40 officers that assisted in the operation.
