As Irrigation and Hay Supplies Dry Up, Missouri Offers Drought Relief Options to Farmers

(MISSOURINET) – To help Missouri’s farmers and ranchers weather the drought, the state is allowing them to access emergency water and hay supplies. Boat ramps at 25 Missouri state parks and 36 Department of Conservation areas are open to collect water. Governor Mike Parson, a cattle farmer, says he is “deeply concerned” about this drought happening in June.

Farmers and ranchers can get hay at 17 Missouri state parks and find that information on the Missouri State Parks’ website. Signing a license is required before haying can begin.
