Bobwhite Quail Pilot Program Offered To Area Landowners

A new Natural Resources Conservation Service pilot program intended to improve and protect the habitat for the Northern Bobwhite Quail is being offered to area landowners. Under Secretary for Farm Production and Conservation Robert Bonnie says the project has $13 million dedicated money committed.
The last three county tiers of southern Iowa and most of the Missouri land in our listening area are eligible for the project. Those producers interested can contact the NRCS at the local USDA Service Center.
