Caldwell County March 2022 Activity Report (released 4/21)

On 03/02/2022, at approximately 0103 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop at
US 36 and Highway 13 in Caldwell County. As a result of the traffic stop, the driver was arrested
for Failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, Possession of drug paraphernalia,
Possession of a controlled substance and Possession of Marijuana. The driver was also believed
to be operating the vehicle under the influence of an unknown substance. They were taken into
custody and following the investigation were placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center
pending filing of formal charges.

On 03/02/2022, at approximately 0218 hours, Deputies responded to the 200 Block of West 6th
Street in Braymer to a report of people outside of a residence trespassing. As deputies arrived, it
was discovered the caller was under the influence of an unknown controlled substance and was
in the presence of their children. The caller was taken into custody and arrested for endangering
the welfare of the children as well as for the charge of assault on a Law enforcement officer.

On 03/02/2022, at approximately 0505 hours, Deputies responded to the 1200 Block of Dove
Drive in Polo regarding a reported Domestic Assault. Deputies took a female into custody
following the investigation and she was placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center.

On 3/02/2022, at approximately 1349 hours, Deputies investigated a report of illegal dumping of
trash in the area of Millcreek Drive, West of Hamilton.

On 03/03/2022, at approximately 1832 hours, Deputies contacted a female who had arrived at the
Caldwell County Detention Center to surrender herself according to a warrant issued for her
arrest for Failure to Obey a Judge’s order. The bond amount was set at $25,000 cash only. She
was taken into custody without incident.

On 03/04/2022, at approximately 1138 hours, Caldwell County Deputies arrested a person at the
Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department, who arrived and surrendered herself according to a
warrant for their arrest for the charge of animal neglect. The warrant carried a $200.00 cash only
bond. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Caldwell County
Detention Center for processing.

On 03/05/2022, at approximately 2122 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a
vehicle on Highway 116 near Gold Road in Caldwell County. A passenger of the vehicle
stopped, was checked, and it was discovered she had multiple active warrants for her arrest from
Clay County for charges of drug paraphernalia, no insurance, possession of Marijuana and
failure to drive on right half of roadway. She was taken into custody without incident, and
delivered to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

On 03/06/2022, at approximately 0006 hours, Caldwell County Deputies checked the license of a
vehicle traveling east on Highway 36 near Hamilton. The license check revealed the vehicle was
stolen. The Deputy followed behind the vehicle until they reached the area of Highway 36 and
State Route A. Near this location, the Deputy activated their emergency lights to initiate the stop
and the driver of the stolen vehicle refused to pull over. As they continued east on Highway 36
into Livingston County, stop sticks were deployed by the Highway Patrol near the Grand River
Bridge, the vehicle was stopped shortly following the tires being flattened, and the driver was
taken into custody. The vehicle was recovered with minimal damage. The driver was arrested for
numerous charges and current active warrants for her arrest. She was taken back to the Caldwell
County Detention Center. The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office would like to recognize the
Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department for their
assistance in this incident.

On 03/07/2022, at approximately 1054 hours Deputies responded to the Hideaway Lakes area in
response to a report from the Ray County Sheriff’s Office regarding attempting to recover a
stolen UTV. Deputies located the stolen UTV at an address on Eagle Creek and recovered the
vehicle. Deputies also arrested a male at this location on outstanding warrants for his arrest. This
person was taken into custody, and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

On 3/08/2022, at approximately 1020 hours, Deputies responded to the Caldwell County
Courthouse in Kingston, MO, to arrest a male for an outstanding warrant for his arrest for the
charge of Domestic Assault 3rd degree and Kidnapping 3rd degree. The bond amount of the

warrant was set at $50,000.00 cash only. The male was taken into custody without incident and
transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

On 3/08/2022, at approximately 1305 hours, Deputies responded to the 200 block of E. Farabee
St., Polo, in reference to a stolen vehicle.
Upon arrival, the reporting party stated someone had stolen their 2008 Dodge van from where it
was parked. Deputies later recovered the vehicle unattended in Lexington, MO.
Caldwell County Deputies conducted an investigation and through their investigation, a suspect
was identified and later arrested and charged with the theft of the vehicle.

On 3/08/2022, at approximately 1832 hours, Deputies received information regarding a sexual
assault. As information was collected from the victim, it was discovered the assault had taken
place outside of Caldwell County and in another jurisdiction. The information and the victims
were directed to the proper authorities to proceed with the complaint.

On 03/11/2022, at approximately 0535 hours, Deputies responded to the 300 block of 11th Street
in Breckenridge, MO, to a report of someone attempting to break into a residence. The reporting
person stated he awoke to someone closing his sliding glass door. He later found his outside
garage door had been opened as well. Two suspects were observed leaving the location by the
caller but they were not identified. This incident is under investigation.

On 03/12/2022, at approximately 1314 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a
vehicle on Highway 13 and State Route V. The driver was contacted, and a check of their
information found they had an active warrant for their arrest from Caldwell County for no
driver’s license. The Bond amount was $500.00 cash only. The driver was arrested and
transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center where he was held in lieu of bond.

On 03/13/2022, Caldwell County deputies served an arrest warrant at a business located in the
100 Block of Main Street in Braymer, MO. As a result of the warrant, the suspect was
apprehended and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center where he was held in lieu
of bond.

On 03/13/2022, at approximately 1857 hours, Deputies responded to the 500 block of Petree Ave
in Braymer, MO, in reference to a Domestic disturbance. As a result of the investigation, a male
suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

On 03/15/2022, at approximately 1022 hours, Deputies responded to the 5100 Block of NW
Highway D in Cameron, to a report of stolen chainsaws valued at $600.00. This incident is under
investigation.

On 03/15/2022, at approximately 1122 hours, Deputies began an investigation regarding
Burglary and the theft of property from a residence in the 200 Block of 9th Street in
Breckenridge, MO. As a result of the investigation, two suspects were identified and later
arrested. The majority of the property was recovered, in addition, as a result of this investigation;
a juvenile male was placed into the custody of the State of Missouri Department of Social
Services.

On 3/15/2022, at approximately 1403 hours, Caldwell County Deputies arrested a female
according to a warrant issued for her in Caldwell County for attempting to deliver contraband
into a Jail; the bond was $1000.00 cash only. She was transported to the Caldwell County
Detention Center.

On 03/15/2022, at approximately 2247 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop on
Highway 36 near State Route J. As a result of the stop, a person was arrested according to a
Camden County warrant for their arrest for possession of dangerous drugs.

On 03/17/2022, at approximately 1530 hours, Deputies served an arrest warrant at a residence in
the 200 Block of 12th Street in Breckenridge, MO. A female at the residence was contacted, and
placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license; the bond amount was
$500.00 cash only.

On 03/19/2022, at approximately 1354 hours, Deputies served an arrest warrant at a residence
located in the 200 Block of South 6th Street in Breckenridge, MO. The male suspect was located
hiding inside of the residence. He was taken into custody without incident, and transported to the

Caldwell County Detention Center. The warrant was issued by the State of Missouri/ Livingston
County Probation and Parole office.

On 03/20/2022, at approximately 0033 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a
vehicle on Highway 13 and West Elm in Polo, MO. As result of the stop, the driver was arrested
according to a Probation and Parole warrant issued by the State of Missouri. The driver was also
arrested for an addition charge of being in possession of a pair of brass knuckles. He was placed
in the Caldwell County Detention Center.

On 03/20/2022, at approximately 0218 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a
vehicle on Highway 36 near Caldwell Road. As a result of the stop, numerous juveniles were
found to have consumed alcohol. The driver was not intoxicated. The parents of the juveniles
were summoned to the location of the vehicle stop to take custody of their children. The report
will be forwarded to the Juvenile office for further discipline.

On 03/20/2022, at approximately 2031 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a
vehicle on Highway 116 near Wildlife Road. As a result of the stop, the driver was arrested for
three outstanding Caldwell County arrest warrants. In addition to the warrants, the driver
received additional charges for possession of drug paraphernalia. They were taken to the
Caldwell County Detention Center for incarceration.

On 03/20/2022, at approximately 2148 hours, Deputies arrested a person who had come to
Caldwell County Detention Center to visit a detainee in the jail. They had three outstanding
warrants for their arrest for drug related charges. A search of the vehicle they were driving was
conducted and additional drugs and paraphernalia were found inside of the vehicle along with a
loaded firearm. The suspect was then taken into custody and provided a cell in the Detention
Center.

On 03/22/2022, at approximately 0850 hours, Deputies received a call regarding someone
dumping trash on a property they did not own. Deputies responded and were able to locate the
suspect vehicle in the area. The vehicle was stopped and the occupants were identified. The trash
dumping incident was handled, but while checking the occupants of the vehicle, both of the
suspects had outstanding warrants for their arrest. They were both taken into custody.

On 03/24/2022, the Caldwell County Missouri Sheriff’s Department Detectives Unit opened an
investigation of allegations of Sexual Misconduct between a teacher employed with the Braymer,
Missouri School District and several juvenile females.
As a result of this ongoing investigation, the teacher was taken into custody and incarcerated in
the Caldwell County Detention Center where he is still being held at this time.
