Catalytic Converter House Bill Discussed In Jeff City

The Missouri House Emerging Issues committee heard a bill on Wednesday that increases regulations for purchasing catalytic converters.

Pulaski County Prosecutor Kevin Hillman gave testimony for the bill. He says official documentation would help law enforcement.

Republican Representative Don Mayhew from Crocker is the sponsor of the bill. He created the legislation in response to stolen catalytic converters across the state.

Precious metals inside the car part makes it valuable for buyers and sellers.
