CDC Director Visits Her Alma Mater in Missouri to Talk to Students About a Variety of Health Topics

(MISSOURINET) – The head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention visited her alma mater Thursday in Missouri. Dr. Rochelle Walensky, is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis. She says there is a shortage of nurses and nursing students are being rejected at nursing schools because of a shortage of faculty. Walensky says she is worried about the nursing profession – especially since the pandemic began.

She says training a diverse population is the key to serving the next generation in the U.S.
