Chillicothe Police Officer To Be Honored At Crimes Against Children Conference

A Chillicothe Police officer has been announced as the Crimes Against Children Conference (CACC) Outstanding Service Award winner.

Chillicothe Police Detective Whitney Murdock has been named as this year’s Outstanding Service Award Recipient. The award is presented in recognition of exceptional service and dedication to improving the lives of abused children and their families.

Detective Murdock was nominated by Chillicothe Chief of Police Jon Maples and other community members for her compassion, effectiveness, and dedication to the most vulnerable victims. Affectionately known by her community as “The Guardian,” Murdock not only works to obtain justice for victims, but seeks to provide them with a future.

The 35th annual Crimes Against Children Conference is being held in Dallas, Texas starting on Sunday, August 5th. Murdock will be honored as part of the opening ceremonies of the conference.

The CACC Awards are open to nominations from across the U.S. and are presented to professionals who have demonstrated significant commitment and dedication to vulnerable children and their families.
