A Chula man was left with moderate injuries after hitting a deer in the roadway while operating a motorcycle.

Troop H of the Highway Patrol says 69-year-old Chula resident William R. Donoho was operating a 2003 BMW motorcycle southbound on U.S. 65 Highway about four miles west of Chula at 3 P.M. Wednesday when the motorcycle struck a deer in the roadway.

The motorcycle went off the west side of the roadway where it came to rest on its side facing east.
