City of St. Joseph to Host Hazardous Waste and Electronics Collection
The City of St. Joseph will host a Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics collection Saturday, April 20th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Remington Nature Center parking lot on MacArthur Drive.
The collection is open to all St. Joseph residents: proof of residency and photo ID are required.
Residents can bring antifreeze, oil, cleaners, fuels, batteries, lawn and garden products, household cleaners, pesticides, paint and related products, photographic chemicals, and pool chemicals.
The City will also accept certain electronics for free, including computer towers, keyboards, laptops, printers, hard drives, cell phones, pagers, radios, speakers, scanners, DVD players, VCRs, fax machines, answering machines, non-PCB ballasts, furnaces, water heaters, microwaves, stoves, stereos, power tools, restaurant equipment and more.
Residents can turn in big-screen and CRT TVs for $30, LED, LCD, or plasma TVs can be handed in for a $20 fee. For $5 the city will dispose of CRT monitors.
