Clinton County Route 33 Resurfacing Project Begins Monday

The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced a resurfacing project for Missouri Route 33 in Clinton is set to begin next week.

Contractors with Idecker, Inc. will work with Mo-Dot to resurface Route 33 from U.S. Highway 36 in DeKalb County to the Clay County line. The first phase of the project begins Monday, May 15 as crews will begin resurfacing at U.S. 36 and work south. The second phase will work from Route 116 south to the Clay County line.

During the project the roadway will be reduced to one lane with flaggers guiding motorists through the work zone Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. A 10-foot width restriction will be in place daily.

The project is scheduled for completion in July.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
