Cooper County Accident Leaves Three With Minor Injuries, Two From St. joe

A two vehicle accident in Cooper County Monday afternoon left three people, including two from St. Joseph, with minor injuries.

According to the accident report from Troop F of the Highway Patrol, 45-year-old Highland, Kansas resident Daniel L. Henninger was driving a 2021 Chrysler Voyager on Missouri Route 87 at the westbound I-70 exit ramp. Henninger attempted to make a left turn onto I-70 but pulled into the path of a 2012 Buick LaCrosse being driven by 56-year-old Boonville resident Tamara M. McCart.

McCart was not wearing a seat belt at the time and suffered minor injuries. She was taken by private vehicle to University Urgent Care in Boonville for treatment.

Henninger was not hurt in the accident but two of his passengers, 40-year-old Joseph A. Kane and 44-year-old Steven R. Wilkinson, both of St. Joseph, suffered minor injuries. They were both treated at the scene.
