The Missouri Department of Conservation is offering landowners with an additional program that could aid in local deer management efforts. The program is the Deer Management Assistance Program. It was started in southern Missouri a few years ago, but it is now open for all but Sullivan County our Missouri listening area.
Josh Roller is with the Missouri Department of Conservation. The program is available for private property of at least 500 acres. Individual parcels of land can be combined if there are multiple owners to satisfy the acreage required.
The annual DMAP enrollment period extends through October 1st.
