Does Governor Parson Support Agriculture Omnibus Bill?

(MISSOURINET) – A legislative package to help Missouri’s agriculture industry is one of several bills Governor Mike Parson has yet to make up his mind on. The bill’s sponsor is Republican Representative Rick Francis of Perryville. He says House Bill 202 started out as a repeal of the Industrial Hemp Regulatory Program in Missouri.

Other provisions of the bill include establishing the Flood Resiliency Program to increase protections for flooding along the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers and their tributaries, in addition to improving statewide flood forecasting and monitoring. Francis anticipates Governor Mike Parson will sign this bill.
