EMS Providers Receive Grant Awards

Missouri’s Governor has announced 428 grant awards amounting to $6.3 million dollars for EMS providers, fire service, and law enforcement.

The approval for the grant awards came through the Missouri Department of Public Safety. The funding can be used for new equipment, supplies, personnel, and training. The funding for the public safety grants comes through funding of the American Rescue Plan Act. The Missouri Department of Public Safety serves as the grant administrator for the state. The grants require a local match of 50 percent.

Some of the recipients of the 428 grants include the Community Ambulance District of Daviess County, the Caldwell County Ambulance District, Grand River Regional Ambulance District, LifeFlight Eagle, and the Sullivan County Ambulance District. The grant awards were at, or near, $20,000.
