Excelsior Springs Man Charged in Wednesday Shooting

An Excelsior Springs man is in custody for his alleged role in a Wednesday gas station shooting.

Reports say 25-year-old Dylan G. Townsend faces charges of first-degree assault, armed criminal action, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Townsend is accused of shooting a 32-year-old man Wednesday afternoon and leaving him with serious injuries.

Bond for Townsend is set at 500-thousand dollars.
