Four Days Later And Savannah R-3 Lifts Mask Mandate

(SAVANNAH, Mo.) Mandates to wear masks for all of the schools in the Savannah R-3 have been lifted four days after the implementation.
Effective Tuesday, February 1st, the masks can be removed.
The district does say that mask-wearing is still strongly encouraged to help mitigate illness from spreading.
The mandates are ending due to the decreasing number of cases and incubation period for the Omicron variant being shorter.
