Galt Driver Injured, Two Vehicles Destroyed by Fire in Sunday Morning Crash

A Galt driver was seriously injured following an accident early Sunday morning on I-35 south of Lathrop.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 33 year old Terry Delauder of Galt was traveling northbound in the driving lane on I-35 just after 2am , went off the side of the roadway, and hit the towed unit of a tractor trailer which was parked on the east shoulder of the roadway. Delauder’s pickup burst into flames. The fire consumed both Delauder’s pickup and the towed unit which was hit.
Both the pickup and the tractor trailer unit were totaled in the accident.
The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, the Lathrop Police Department, the Holt Fire Department, and the Lathrop Police Department assisted the Highway Patrol.
