Governor Says DHSS Adding to COVID-19 Positivity Rate Reporting

Missouri governor Mike Parson says the state Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) is starting to report two different COVID-19 positivity rates on its public health dashboard.

Governor Parson says that to date, DHSS has used a conservative method to calculate positivity rate. He says the CDC uses a different method.

DHSS began reporting both positivity rates Wednesday. The governor says both methods can help public health authorities understand the spread of COVID-19 in their communities.
