Great Northwest Wholesale Water Commission Receives Six-Figure Rebate Check

The Great Northwest Wholesale Water Commission received a six-figure rebate check today from the Missouri Public Utility Commission.

The Missouri Rural Water Association presented a check of $141,167.63 for constructing a water main transmission line spanning 36 miles from Saint Joseph to Cameron, for booster pump facilities, and for two water towers.

The check is a rebate of interest accrued during the construction.

Commission Chair Zac Johnson said, “This is a culmination of years and years of hard work with federal and state agencies to develop much-needed additional water capacity for Northwest Missouri.”
