(MISSOURINET) – The agreement between Democratic President Joe Biden and Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy to raise the debt ceiling does NOT include raising tariffs on imports from China. For that reason, Missouri U-S Senator Josh Hawley says he’s voting “no:”
The deadline for raising the debt ceiling is June 5th, next Monday. Otherwise, the U-S runs the risk of defaulting on its debts and triggering a recession.
