High Wind Watch Upgraded to Warning for Wednesday

Windy conditions are expected throughout the area on Wednesday.  The National Weather Service has upgraded the High Wind Watch to a High Wind Warning, where wind gusts up to 65 mph are expected.

Those in the warning area should seek shelter in a sturdy structure.  If driving, use caution and keep both hands on the wheel and slow down.

To prepare for windy conditions, secure loose items, trim trees and repair loose siding and shelters.  Have emergency kits ready in case of power outages and identify your shelter.

The High Wind Warning takes effect at 9 a.m. on Wednesday and lasts until midnight.
