Independence Woman Arrested on Driving Charges Sunday in DeKalb County

An Independence woman was arrested on driving charges Sunday evening in DeKalb County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 37-year-old Ashley B. Hukill was arrested on preliminary charges of felony not having a valid driver’s license, driving while intoxicated with a person less than 17 years old in the vehicle, and failure to signal.
Troopers say Hukill also had an outstanding warrant from Jackson County for a failure to appear on an original charge of a moving traffic violation.
She was taken to the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail and booked on a 24-hour hold.
