Indiana Resident Seriously Injured In Accident Near Cameron

A New Castle, Indiana resident was seriously injured in an accident near Cameron in Caldwell County Thursday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a car heading westbound on Highway 36, 4 miles east of Cameron, went off the side of the roadway and struck a tree. 24 year old Kayla Ford of New Castle, Indiana was a passenger in the vehicle and seriously hurt. She was taken to Liberty Hospital by the Caldwell County EMS. The driver of the vehicle was 25 year old Bailey Leduc of New Castle. He received minor injuries and was also taken to Liberty Hospital.

The car was totaled in the accident.

The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Highway Patrol.

The accident took place at 2pm Thursday afternoon.
