A man from Iowa was arrested by the Missouri Highway Patrol in Clinton County Sunday afternoon.
The arrest report from 2:54 pm says 33-year-old Melvin A. Melendez-Benitez of Des Moines was arrested for felony resisting arrest, felony no driver’s license, driving while intoxicated, speeding, failure to secure a child less than 8 years of age in a child restraint, following too close, failed to signal, and the consumption of alcohol while driving.
He was taken to the Clinton County Jail for a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.
