Juvenile Among the Injured in Early Wednesday Accident

A juvenile male was among the injured in an accident that occurred early Wednesday morning in Daviess County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports the accident at 6:40 am where 25-year-old Robert J. Reed of Trenton was making a U-turn in a private drive while pulling a trailer in a Ford F-350 off of MO-6 Highway, five miles east of Gallatin. With him was an unnamed 17-year-old male and 30-year-old Mary Mendenhall.

Reed stopped the vehicle and waited for traffic to pass. His vehicle was struck by another Ford F-350 pulling a trailer being driven by 77-year-old Gail L. Siemer of Jamesport with passenger 18-year-old Enoth Schrock.

Both teens suffered serious injuries and Mary Mendenhall suffered moderate injuries.

The unnamed juvenile was taken to Liberty Hospital by Daviess EMS, Enoth Schrock was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center by Grundy County EMS, and Mendenhall was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital by Grundy County EMS.
