Kansas City Man Injured in Atchison County Crash Monday Morning

A Kansas City, Missouri, Freightliner operator suffered injuries in an Atchison County crash Monday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 7:17 Monday morning on U.S. 59, a little over a mile north of Tarkio, as 35-year-old Frank A. Roberts drove southbound.

Troopers say Roberts fell asleep, went off the right side of the road, overturned, and came to a rest on the vehicle’s passenger side.

Roberts suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at Fairfax Community Hospital.

Authorities say Roberts did wear a seat belt at the time of the crash.
