KC VA To Require COVID Vaccine

Veterans who use the Kansas City VA will need to be vaccinated against COVID moving forward.

Area Veterans Affairs officer Wayne Kleinschmidt says “Kansas City VA just announced if you haven’t received the COVID shot you will not be allowed in the building. You have to show proof at the door. All services are refused to unvaccinated.”

The Kansas City VA also lists restrictions on visitors due to COVID. According to their website the outpatient visitors will be only for caregivers and only when medically necessary. For inpatients no visitors are allowed but compassionate exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Nurse Manager or Nursing Officer of the Day.
